
Dr Anthony John Eisinger (1937 -2023)
We pay tribute to Dr. Anthony John Eisinger, who passed away in 2023, leaving behind a profound legacy within our medical community. Dr. Eisinger was a highly respected member of the Society, admired for his dedication to the profession, his insight, and his supportive nature. His contributions to medicine and the friendships he built over the years will be warmly remembered. Dr Anthony Eisinger, Consultant Nephrologist and Director of the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit (1971-2001) took over as President in the 68th Season (1986-87). He gave numerous lectures including the MacBean Ross lecture in October 2001 on “Aqua Vitae.” and "Lord Moran and Winston Churchill: Did the President of the Royal College of Physicians help win the war?" in 2012.
