
Dr James Oscar Max Clark Craig
(1926- 2020)
We honor the memory of Dr. James Oscar Max Clark Craig, whose passing in 2020 was a significant loss to our community. Dr. Craig was a respected and dedicated member of the Society, known for his expertise, warmth, and commitment to medicine. His contributions and the camaraderie he shared with colleagues will not be forgotten. Dr. Craig’s legacy continues to inspire, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Dr Oscar Craig, Past President of the Royal College of Radiologists, was the SDMS President on the 90th season, from 2008 until 2009 and a committee member for numerous years. He gave numerous lectures including “Physicians’ Prose and Poetry” describing those illustrious figures such as Anton Chekhov, Sir Arthur Connan Doyle, John Keats, and W. Somerset Maugham who both pursued a career in medicine and published literary writing.
